very cool to see some work in progress!
Love the sketch/prelim with the black background. Is this the pencilled version over which Gab paints, or will he use the lightbox (or something else) to copy it on another paper? ..the sketch/prelim version looks different than the finished ones (especcially in the faces) ..just wondering??
..somehow I like the finished magazine cover less ..I guess it is to crowded with words (don't mess with Gab's Art:)

Unfortunatly there is too much written on the cover and the wonderful art can´t work as it should ! I hope Gab won´t do that again! His work is to good to be placed on a simple magazin for only 5,90 €. OK, i know money makes the world go round and Gab has to earn a bit of it, but as i said a magazin like this isn´t worth it...

some comics are cheaper ( 5,90 € ) Perhaps we will see the amazing art-work as a litho or cover-art , hope so

wow...fantastic piece! But can you post another image of the process between the water colors and the acrilic ones?... I mean, watercolors are made as shadows and then are covered with the acrilic colors? It could be very interesting to know how he did that ;

The same interview in broken english :
Gabriele Dell'Otto and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
(Interview edited by Paul Boscolo and Vittorio Candido)
From what your participation to this plan is been born?
[Gabriele Dell'Otto al lavoro su Marvel: La grande alleanza] And ’ been born all dall ’ love for the beautiful things, in this case it it wants to realize an indeed special product for the public Italian, a product that did not have “ the usual characteristics ” and that it offered more extrinsic an artistic value of the others. We hope it are to us resolutions! In order to explain it in less romantici terms, the collaboration with Activision Italy is been born thanks to Paul Shepherds, Senior Brand Manager of the society, which after l ’ edition 2005 of Lucca Comics & Games, has contacted in order to speak me about Marvel ™ the Great Alliance to me, the new video game on SuperEroi Marvel who Activision was developing, and of its idea for l ’ Italy... The plan was a lot interesting and the been involved persons extremely motivated... therefore that what to wish more for the good resolution of a smile job.GIF?
You can explain to us in what has been translate, exactly, your artistic collaboration?
With to the staff of Activision Italy, we have decided to realize a Pack originates them and exclusive for the Italian version, and to implement a series of images and pin-ups for the promotion of the same game.
Which it has been your approach to this type of job, considering that it was not be a matter of the realization of one cover or of one history to publish in a white one?
In reality approach has not been a lot different dall ’ that I use for the others my jobs, but sure the step decisive has been that one to verify all the places setting some of the videogiochi exposed on the shelves and to try to understand that what “ not to make ”, then from them has been enough simple; we have chosen the super personages who in Italy “ crack ”, and after 4 or 5 layout for l ’ beautiful and here ready approval the cover!!
The faces and the customs of several the Marvel heroes are very famous. However you have contributed to characterize them in some aspects?
If you mean the characterization on the cover and the pin-ups, yes, I have contributed like to my usual, above all not snaturando what it is personal mine feeling with several the personages, and in this has helped me and supported a lot also the staff of Activision Italy, than it has left paper white woman me as far as the artworks.
[Gabriele Dell'Otto al lavoro su Marvel: La grande alleanza] It considers you satisfied of the result that emerges from uses it of the designs and the studies that you have realized for this video game?
Very many!!
Many cartonist, you see Joe Madureira, have been probably entices to you from the world of the videogiochi for lauti the gain. Tasks that this new working outlet can remove to you from the world of the comics and of the illustration? We will see again you to the work on other analogous plans?
Not task that null can remove to me from the world of the Comics, but even some puntatina from time to time in other universes parallels, like that one of the videogiochi, entices me of sure!!
Some indiscretion on yours works future?
Indiscretions … mhhh I cannot sbottonarmi a lot, in this moment I am working on the Batman Europe (finally), and on an important plan for the bookcase Short Space Maltese, in 2007 I will return to the Marvel, but I cannot say more, at least for hour.
Thanks thousands, Gabriel, to the next one!

how can the water color changes the acrylics tone? it's impossible to block the shadows with water color under acrylics. water color gets dissapeared when you put acrylic on them..
maybe it's ecoline?
