Thanks a lot Eddie, I'm glad that you liked the style that we've come up with on the Dark Wolverine book, that's also thanks to Onofrio Catacchio on inks and Marte Gracia on colors. The whole team will be back at work on the new series, so you know what you'll get. I cannot give you hints on the new outfit, that's still in the works. But I can tell you that it'll look really cool. Cheers! C.

Hey Cammo, images from the first issue of Daken: Dark Wolverine have begun showing up online and in the upcoming previews (i think). How much say did you have in that new outfit? The design really surprised me at first but it is growing on me every time I look at it. I'm curious to find out what Daken will be up to that has him wearing a costume at all. I am pretty surprised that you all decided to cover up his few visual trademarks (the mohawk and tattoo) so I'd be interested in the rationale. if anything, i'm even more curious and excited to pick up the book! curiouser and curiouser... also, have you seen the General Weir figure from the recent Star Wars comic pack? It has a headsculpt that looks suspiciously like your take on Daken.... !!! www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=/TLC/ComicPacks/WMStormWeir/LC-2714.jpg

Hello Eddie, thanks for your comments. No, I never saw that Star Wars character before (and I also don't see that much similarity, to be honest), and yes, it was me who designed Daken's new costume, after a brief with editor Jeanine Schaefer and writer Marjorie Liu. Glad to hear that it's growing on you, and that this also makes you curious about what's going to happen in the new series. It'll blow you away!
Cheers! Cammo

The first issue of Daken was powerful stuff. Very curious to see who Daken's partner is. Your art was top notch again. The page with Daken on the phone holding his champagne and surrounded by thugs stood out for me. I'm always impressed with the way you pose him. The new costume is growing on me, but I especially dig the way you've had Daken dress throughout the issues. The specific clothes you pick out always click.
In the Dark Wolverine series you ended up switching off with other artists for many issues. Will this be the case for the relaunched title? please please please say no!
finally, will you be doing sketches for people at the NY comic con?

Hey Eddie, thanks for your praise. I'm glad that you enjoyed the book and its moments. Daken really is a cool character, it's so easy for me to have him pose and dress so slickly, it's almost like he draws himself, like he has a life of his own in my mind. I can't actually give away too many details on the new series, but follow the solicitations and you'll see. And yeah, I'll definitely be doing sketches and commission in NY, and possibly have also one surprise at the booth. Cheers! C.
