Hello guys , just got back from Angouleme . Very hard trip getting there , the roads were frozen so it was a very long trip. I got there in the morning so didn't sleep that night (very exhausting ) and even better , I couldn't find a Hotel !!!! I was searching the last week and a half online to get a room but without luck !! even in a 40km radius from Angouleme no hotel with a room to spare !! So i was hoping to find me something when I got there but I took some blankets and water to be sure ... Good thing i did because I had to spend the night in my car !! washing myself in the morning with bottles of water and it was very cold !! didn't get too much sleep at all . But end good all good , if you look at what Gab made me this time you will see it's all worth it . Gab and I agreed that this is the best Villain he made me so far , just incredibly amazing . Many thanks to Gab for again making this trip worth it , it is the best sketch I saw him do at the convention . He is simply the best guy you can think of . Didn't get a sketch from Tim Sale but I came for Gab and I was a very lucky Bastardo to go home with this beauty !! I will post more pics of Angouleme but I need to upload them . Enjoy ,

I love the stories you're able to tell about the hardships that you go through to get a drawing from the maestro. (no pain, no gain) Fantstic sketch by Gabriele, off course. Lucky bastardo ;P

the literal translation should be this: "According to you people of Gotham, is more deserving of attention a mouse with the wings or an elegant penguin?!!" this Penguin is very like Danny De Vito in "Batman-Returns". I'm watching that film at this moment ;D ohhh...Michelle Pfeiffer ;D ;D ;D

Flawless sketch! Beautiful. Gab, come back to America! Give us the opportunity to get a sketch from you! San Francisco? Chicago? New York City? Los Angeles? You name it, I'll be there!

Awesome, I didn't know that. I've never seen Gab at a convention, how can I go about asking him for a sketch? A lot of you have great sketches by Gab from conventions, did you pay for those? Did you have to bring paper? I don't want to go to New York unprepaired if he was going to be doing sketches there

I don't want to go to New York unprepaired if he was going to be doing sketches there I'm going to guess that New York will be a lot like how his 2006 San Diego Comic Con went. I wasn't there, but I read that he had set commission rates. He was charging $120 for pencils, $200 for pencils and inks, and $400 for color/paint. It has to be near impossible for him to be able to do free sketches at these US cons because of the size. There are just so many people at these main cons. I'm actually amazed that he does free artwork period because among well known artists that is very rare. Gab is a great guy and I would find out exactly where his table will be located at the New York con. Get there as early as you can and get on his list of commissions. That's how most artists work and most of their lists are pretty short. Hope that helps.
