Sweet, sweet cover...one of my fav. works from the Gab. early days. Now that mean we'll be getting a great fight between spidey and the vulture?! ;D

Hey Pedro. I agree. Fantastic painting with the arching of spideys arms matching those of the curving of vultures wings - A true masterpiece. Leon.

Nice cover - one of gabs best images maybe...
regarding the other question about choice of cover. At the end of the day good Spiderman covers sell comics. thats it..

I wonder WHY the regular THE PULSE did not pencil this issue cover and WHY MARVEL (or Bendis may be) decided to go with this FANTASTIC OLD Gab masterpiece...
Sell, sell, sell...that's the point of Marvel and of course putting a spidey (great cover) doesn't hurt either, even if it isn't related/ or has anything to do with the story... spidey cover = more selling copies that's all... At the end of the day good Spiderman covers sell comics. thats it.. And the best ones sell even better...

Bendis said that Gab's painting is what inspired him to put the Vulture fight in there, so I think it's understandible to use as the cover... little misleading though.
